Westview believes in offering a quality athletic program that complements our students’ academic endeavors while refining their athletic abilities, sense of teamwork, and coping skills.
While many students get involved in sports for the love of the game, we know they also experience other benefits from taking part in a school athletic program. These include improvements in academics, health and fitness, cooperation, leadership skills, time management, and social relationships, among others.
We offer classes in basketball and soccer to help students improve their skills year-round.
In addition, we have partnered with Summit View West School to form a strong after-school sports program that includes boys’ and girls’ basketball, cross country, girls’ volleyball, and soccer in the fall. In the spring, we have golf, baseball, and softball.
Our Wildcats are proud members of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section. All Westview coaches are certified by the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) certified.
Practices and games typically take place after school, though there are some games during the school day. Transportation is provided to and from game sites.
We encourage parents to take part in our program and support our athletes and coaches. Additional support via donations and volunteer drivers are also appreciated.
