Academics

Westview’s program is open to motivated, college-bound students of average to superior intellectual ability, who are underachieving in traditional school settings and could benefit from a more personalized academic program.

At Westview, we take pride in offering personal attention from credentialed teachers who are trained to deal with a variety of learning differences. With a maximum of twelve students per class, students are afforded the kind of individualized support that results in personal success in the school environment. All Middle School classes have a credentialed teacher and a teaching assistant. Our High School program offers a full complement of courses required to achieve graduation. A variety of different instructional methods are utilized in order to prepare our students for post-High School college and/or vocational opportunities. Along with content delivery, many of our teachers focus on building traditional study skills including attending to lectures, note taking, participation in classroom discussion, daily homework, preparing for midterms and finals and completing research reports.

Westview offers

  • Departmentalized and self-contained classrooms
  • A state-of-the-art Science Lab
  • Computer lab – Mac/PC equipped
