History

The Westview School was founded in 1990 to serve students with learning differences, attention deficit disorders and/or mild emotional problems in need of a specialized learning environment. Westview is a not-for-profit private school, certified by the California State Department of Education as a nonpublic school and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Until the 2007-2008 school year, Westview operated out of a small leased facility in West Los Angeles with limited student capacity. In September of 2007, the school moved into a newly renovated, state of the art, 24,000 square foot building, which is now owned by the school. The building was designed with the learning needs of our students in mind. For instance, many small separate areas were created for tutorial and small group instruction. This brand new, larger facility and allows us to serve up to 150 students. As our population has grown, so has the depth and breadth of our college preparatory course offerings.
